What is the difference between the (Scratch & Dent) HearthGate 24" Extension

Our fireplace hearth is 6 ft and 3/4 by 2 ft and 1/2. If we have the Hearth Gate which states it covers a 6 ft by 2 ft section, which HearthGate extension should we buy. Also, your site advertises two products that look and appear the same but are two different prices. The (Sratch and Dent) HearthGate 24 " Extension is advertised at $26.94. while the one that states HeathGate 24" Extension (without the Scratch & Dent) is advertised at $38.94 What if anything is the difference between the two products. I noted in the description you can add extensions to the KidCo Play Den. Does KidCo sell a special extension for this product, or do you offer an extension compatible to this product?
