The Baby B'Air Flight Vest is the ONLY SAFETY SOLUTION for lap held children who fly. The patent pending design secures your child to your lap belt to protect your child against the unexpected dangers of turbulence and to keep your child safely on your lap during flight* while allowing freedom of movement to comfort, feed and cuddle your child.
Over 90% of all injuries on commercial airlines occur during flight, yet children held in parents laps are unrestrained. The Baby B'Air Flight Vest has been tested to exceed FAA stress tests levels for aircraft seats, yet is comfortable and easy to wear allowing the child to be held, fed and changed while in the garment.
Infant Size: fits 6 weeks - 6 months, with a neck opening for heads to 16 1/2 inches. Toddler Size: fits 6 months - 2 years, with neck opening for heads up to 19 1/2 inches. Child up to 40lbs.
*The FAA requires children over 2 to have their own seat.
*The Baby B'Air is not a car seat and cannot be used during takeoff, taxi, and landing. The Baby B'Air provides protection during flight when the majority (over 90%) of injuries occur and your child is most vulnerable.

CarinafromSouthbury, CT January 5th, 2010 Short of buying a seat and bringing along an FAA approved infant carrier this is a MUST. It's easy to use, soft and comfortable for baby and for the parent and it's loose enough that the baby can move around some (still breast feed for example). The only down side is that because it's loose it isn't as safe as a car seat.
WM December 20th, 2009 Great for a fidgety baby. Very easy to use. I would definetely recommend this to anyone traveling with a small child.
Susan August 25th, 2009 We debated about whether or not to buy a seat for our daughter on a recent flight. She's at that age where she wouldn't have stayed in her seat (happily) for very long. The baby b'air vest was a perfect compromise. We still felt that she was safe and secure during the flight and she had some room to move around.
The vest is very well made and I appreciated the soft quilted material. It was easy to take on and off and the baby didn't fuss at all about wearing it. I also liked that the strap that connects the child to the seat belt was long enough that the baby could stand up, squirm around and even nurse comfortably.
The vest isn't "rated" for use during takeoff and landing. It's intended for inflight use only. So the main purpose is to protect children during turbulence.
Unless you have purchased a seat for your baby (which is recommended but not always economical!) I consider this a must have purchase for any family traveling with the under two set.
jj February 19th, 2009 Much nicer material than I expected. Super soft, and seemed comfy for our baby. Having it made us feel a lot better about flying with our baby on our laps. Make sure to use the head measurements though, we had to get a toddler size for our 3.5 month old!
TrishafromExton February 10th, 2009 I purchased this for my 11 month old daughter. It was well made and the quilted fabric was nice and soft. The straps were long enough to give her room to move around and even lay down to nap while giving me the comfort of knowing she was strapped in and attached to my seat belt. It folded up nicely and fit into the diaper bag when we landed.
anna August 13th, 2008 Easy to use and my one year old didn't mind it. Luckily our flights have been smooth, so I don't really know if it does what it is supposed to do. In coach the space is so tight that nothing could really prevent the baby from being knocked around within the seating area if you lose your grip for some reason during a bumpy. But the Baby B'Air would keep the baby from hitting the ceiling or sailing across the plane. I don't think it is a "must have" but it made me a little less anxious.
ByronfromChicago, IL July 8th, 2008 Used for our 8 month old twins first flight. Can be a little tricky fastening with one hand, but shouldn't be an issue if you have someone helping you. Don't understand why it can't be used for takeoff or landing, seems like a silly rule.
