The BabyBjörn Air Carrier helps keep you and baby cooler with soft 3D mesh, specially desinged for BabyBjörn. The fabric keeps baby cool and comfortable while providing vital closeness between parent and baby. As with other BabyBjörn Baby Carriers, the Air Carrier can be used for newborns (at least 8lbs, with the safety strap) as well as for older babies (up to 25lbs). Newborns should be carried facing inward and older babies that can hold their heads up may be carried forward facing.

The BabyBjörn Air Carrier is easy to fold into the attached elastic bag and takes up very little space. The bag folds into an inside pocket when not in use.

My husband and I bought the Bjorn Air Carrier before our baby was born. We chose it because it seemed to be the best baby carrier that we could find at the time.

We love the convenience of baby-wearing, but the Bjorn wasn't very comfortable. Our baby took a long time to get used to it, but she didn't always seem very comfortable in it. Furthermore, after a very short amount of time, our shoulders ached from carrying her.

My baby is now 10 months old and just over 20 lbs. and we found the Ergo Baby Carrier because I wanted to find a baby carrier that we could use when our baby reaches the maximum weight limit of the Bjorn. I purchased the Ergo Baby Carrier and it is 20 million times better than the Bjorn! My baby is way more comfortable in it, and I can wear her on my back or my side. While she can't face forward, like she did in the Bjorn, it doesn't bother her and extensive research states that forward-facing carriers are not good on baby's developing spine.

The Ergo allows my baby to sit comfortably rather than being held by her crotch.

Conclusion: My recommendation is to shop around more before settling for a Bjorn. I'm selling mine and now I'm looking at a Becco for a second carrier.

These are more expensive carriers, but not by much when you consider the extended length of time your child will be able to use them and the higher level of comfort for you, the wearer.
