BabyBjörn has taken a long, hard look at children, food and gravity. The result is a completely re-invented plate and spoon. This unique Dinner Set is designed to help children eat by themselves at an early stage.

The three-leaf clover shape of the BabyBjörn Plate makes it easier for the child to scoop up food with his spoon rather than pushing it around in circles. The plate stands steadily on the table and is difficult for small hands to grab and throw on the floor. A rubber base prevents the plate from sliding.

The BabyBjörn Spoon is easy to grip. Its shape and short handle are designed to work with a child's motor skills instead of against them. Once in the child's mouth, the shape of the spoon ensures that no food remains on it afterwards, while still being deep enough to eat soup. The BabyBjörn Spoon can be used with either hand, an important consideration as a child of 12 months still hasn't decided which hand he prefers.

Each plate comes with two spoons.

All BabyBjörn product only contain materials that have been thoroughly tested. All materials that will come into contact with food are food-safety approved. BabyBjörn does not use chemical additives such as cadmium, lead, bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, bromine or chlorine. In addition, their plastics are also PVC free and recyclable!

Within 3 seconds of my setting this bowl in front of my 15 month old grandson, he had picked it up and promptly tossed it on the floor. The rubber grip on the bottom is utterly uselss and doesn't grip at all. I was expecting the bowl to be weighted (although, the description does not say that it is) and difficult for his little hands to get a grip on it, but the bowl was feather-light and hollow underneath, making it easy for him to push around, pick up and/or toss. The dish itself is nice if you don't have a "thrower" and the spoons are easy for him to grip and use. But, in my opinion, not worth $20.
