Submitted By: Erin from San Francisco, CA   Date: 06/09/2008 Although I was warned that Million Dollar Baby Cribs were made of really soft pine, I didn't expect it to dent as easily as it does. Apparently, they are made of a type of Asian pine that is even softer than the pine we have in North America.
The pros: It looks cool. It's modern, and it is a lot less money than many of the modern cribs available. It also feels really sturdy. No wobbles, and the hardware used to put it together was quality stuff. Also, the assembly is pretty straight forward.
Cons: I think that it is going to get really thrashed once the baby begins to be more active. I'm not worried about stability, but the type of pine that this is made of is extremeley blemish prone. It looks good now, but I'm prepared for the degradation of appearance.
