Although I'm still pregnant and they haven't been baby tested yet, they fit perfect on my shelf and the design is perfect for baby. They are soft enough that she shouldn't be able to hurt herself on the baskets while retrieving toys. They are multi-functional, great for toys, socks, clothes or even books. They aren't too large so definitely check the measurements of your shelf or area you'll use them, to make sure they are the size you need. They hold up nicely with the board insert that holds them open and fold up with ease by removing the fabric covered board at the bottom of the basket. I bought 4 and think I'll buy more in different colors.

Claire from Sacramento, CA              October 13th, 2009 I was so excited to get this for my nursery but I was not pleased with the product. I was going to use these as little drawers for clothes and diapers in lieu of drawers. The stitching was all crooked and the cloth smelled badly - sort of a chemical smell. I decided that putting things that would be so close to my baby's skin in these boxes would not be good as they might absorb the strange smell. They might be ok for toys, but they are not well made. I returned them.

I got six of the sage green color to go with the nursey and staggered them on a bookshelf. I also like how they stack and store if your needs change.
