For nearly 100 years, Badger Basket Company has been producing quality items. With its long, storied history, the company has become one of the premier manufacturers of baby and juvenile products, including practical, sturdy furniture and storage options.

The company started out as a veneer plant and cheese box manufacturing company named Edgar Veneer and Manufacturing back in 1911, but soon began using its veneer to cover woven fish baskets, market baskets, and other related products. Among the pieces created during this time was a huge woven basket that was featured at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago.

In the late 1930s, the company changed hands and the trade name Badger Basket Company made its first appearance. Woven baskets remained the company's chief production, expanding from the fish baskets and market baskets to include clothing hampers and laundry and picnic baskets. Eventually, the company found its niche in baby and children's products, creating everything from bassinets to nursery furniture to a line of more than 40 doll furniture items.
