Adoptive Mom Finds Help for Daughter's Hair from a Stranger

Another mom selflessly assisted her with her daughter's hair.

Georgia mother Stephanie Hollifield recently requested help from her black friends on Facebook: she wanted advice for styling her adopted daughter's hair. Two-year-old Haley is African-American, and combing her washed hair was a painful process, even though Hollifield did it gently and carefully.

Hollifield posted this request on Facebook:

Monica Hunter, an African-American mom in Hollifield's area, reached out to her through Facebook (Yahoo!). She offered to help her with Haley's hair. After learning what type of hair the toddler had, she gave her a cute and age-appropriate style.

Not only did Hunter give Hollifield advice on future styling, she also found a potential new friend. She "immediately bonded with Haley and her mom" (Yahoo!). And now Hunter's and Hollifield's daughters have a chance to become friends, too: the moms decided to have a playdate.
