Rachel McAdams Pumping Photo Goes Viral

The actress posed for a magazine while using a breast pump.

In a photo shoot for Girls.Girls.Girls Magazine, new mom Rachel McAdams was photographed using a breast pump. She gave birth to a son in April, just recently announcing that she has become a mom.

McAdams said that becoming a mother is "the greatest thing that has ever happened to me, hands down" (TODAY). Her photographer strongly supported taking a picture in which McAdams wore a breast pump. Because the photo shoot had only been six months since she had given birth, she was still breastfeeding and pumping milk.

Claire Rothstein, who is also the magazine's editor, wrote about the shoot: "Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can't for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon." McAdams also received some unlikely support in the form of funny Mean Girls comments, since the actress played Regina George in the teen comedy film. One commenter, for example, said, "One time she pumped me in the face...it was awesome."
