Smart Diapers Will Alert You When Diaper Needs Changing

The Korean company Monit has just released a "smart diaper," which has a Bluetooth sensor on the outside. The sensor sends indicators to a parent's phone when it realizes that the diaper is dirty. The founder of the company explained that he created the sensor to help understand his children better (Moms).
According to Monit, the sensor helps notify parents of needed diaper changes and can reduce infections and rashes. Tony Park, the creator of the sensor and Monit's CEO, said, "Parents can understand baby's status... so they can raise their babies with strategy, not just by instinct or a feeling." However, behavior changes and smells are often a clear indicator that a baby needs to be changed, without parents needing a sniff test or a sensor.
