We thought a swing was an optional piece of equipment for our newborn. This proved us wrong. My mother sent it and it has been the most essential "optional" thing we have for the baby. I did find that some of the speed settings caused the swing to jerk a little bit so you have to work to find the correct setting for the weight of your baby. She's now four months old and the settings we use have changed over that period of time but we can always find one that she enjoys and that does not jerk her head at all. (the person who wrote that the clips for the harness were up by the head either got a defective product or did not assemble it correctly) The rocking has a timer. There is one where you can set it as described by the manufacturer but there is also an absolute time limit that it will run so that you don't run out the batteries. That means that every once and a while the swing will stop before she is sound asleep and she will wake up. We just have to start it again and she is normally very content to go back to sleep. It takes up very little room and can fold up to take up even less room, but my favorite thing is that it is so low to the ground that if our baby does eventually manage to squirm out of the swing, she won't fall very far.

I got this swing as a hand-me-down, but was practically brand new. When my daughter was first born, this swing worked great and she fell asleep in it most of the time! But as she's gotten bigger, now 4 months, I am scared to put her in the thing. First of all, the clips to buckle the baby in are way too high to be useful. They are up by the headreast! Needless to say, I can't buckle her in. If she moves around at all, she falls out of it! I am not going to use this swing anymore. I recommend it only for very tiny babies who don't move around.

The best part about this swing is how small it is, and the amount of space it takes up. Perfect for people with an apartment, or small space, or those that need to take it on the go. We stay in a camper quite a bit on the weekends, and this folds up nicely and goes in the back of our SUV. Pros: Travel ability, and storage - A+ SO comfortable, the baby just snuggles right in Speeds are great, and so is the timer Batteries last forever Music is great, and is not annoying Pretty quiet operation Cons: The toys are in a strange place I think, and I could never get them to face quite right. The strap is hard to adjust.

I am not happy with this product. I have a 7 week old daughter and she only swings when I am taking a shower or cleaning. But it has been not swinging at some times and then jerking her when it does. If I could take this back I would.
