Cariboo Folding Bassinet

We thought by spending almost $300 on a bassinet that we would be 100% satisfied, but with the Cariboo Folding Bassinet we are not. Our son came a month and a half early so we had to order something in a hurry and we found that the Cariboo products are the closest to "organic" or "natural" as we can get in a bassinet. The mattress is the cheapest foam mattress you would get with something made in China. It's as hard as a rock and only about an inch thick. We ended up spending another $100 elsewhere for a hand-made natural wool mattress. The good thing about the bassinet is it is very lightweight and easy to carry up and down stairs. I also wish there was a way to see inside the bassinet from the side. Anytime you want to check on your baby you have to get completely out of bed or walk all the way over to him to see him from the top. I would only recommend this product if you are willing to spend $300 on something that you probably won't be completely satisfied with.

Our two children will share a room once our son gets past the "every two hours" feeding - so we needed a bassinet that is light and can be moved.
After a long research about toxins in baby furniture etc we found the Cariboo Folding Bassinet. And we loved it!

It's a little more pricey than we would have wanted, but family was nice enough to help with this instead of giving us a ton of clothes and toys we don't really need. We want more children, so this was an investment that will pay off with the next ones.

Our son loves it, we are excited and would recommend it to anybody who is concerned about toxins and still wants something nice looking and practical.
