CoCaLo was founded in 1998 by Renee Pepys Lowe and the company is headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA. The name CoCaLo is a nod to the inspiration for the company - Renee's two daughters Courtenay and Catherine Lowe. In addition to being a leader in the children's bedding industry, CoCaLo is also committed to helping children in need. Their corporate charity is Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. (K.I.D.S.) which is a global charity comprised of leading retailers, manufacturers and licensors of children's products. Renee Pepys Lowe serves on the K.I.D.S. Executive Committee and Board of Directors and since 1985 K.I.D.S. has distributed over a half billion dollars of new merchandise to children in need.
