Being environmentally smart does not have to be hard but it does require supervision. ducduc owns their own New England-based manufacturing facility so you can rest assured that everything that goes into the process of building your furniture is closely monitored. They know their hardwoods are sustainably harvested from regional forests so as to minimize their carbon footprint; their factory employs a lean manufacturing system that dramatically reduces energy requirements and waste; their finishes are non-toxic and Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAPs) free; and none of their products contain MDF or particle board.

At ducduc they also believe in being good citizens. They provide living wages, health benefits, and personal growth opportunities for all employees. They support little league teams and multiple charities including The Fabretto Children's Foundation and Alex's Lemonade Stand and many others.

A core belief at ducduc is that the furniture you buy today should be used through multiple stages of life. In order to do that, they design their products to be stylish, but not trendy. In addition, they build their products from materials that can last a lifetime. Unlike products made from mdf (board made from glued wood fibers) or fiberboard (which tend to have a lifespan of 3-5 years), hardwood products will last a very long time.
