We wanted to try this brand/ style because they don't add to landfills (if you flush or compost) . Are cradle to cradle certified, look cute without clothes (it's hot here so our daughter hasnt really worn many clothes over it), and we wanted a good, clean option without doing cloth. (Although you could do cloth after the newborn size) and we love them! Great quality and loved having a pack with the swish stick, and two size gpants. Be aware that poop stains the washable liners so they won't look clean after onetime- but the mess barely ever gets on the cotton part! We've ordered more liners so we dont run low or have to over stress about washing them. * the only downside for us was we didn't get to use the newborn size. They were leaving marks on our 7lbs baby so the pediatrician told us to move up a size. I'm sure they are great, and I love the snaps to make room for the umbilical cord (etc), but they didn't work for us. But I'd still reccomend this package because you don't know if you could use the smaller size or not!

We used Gdiapers from the start and are just now starting to appreciate how great they are. The newborns only use the paper inserts but with all the poop at the beginning, and the sleep exhaustion, I think they knew what they were doing there. We just now started disposable diapers (at 3 months) for school and he has regular leaks and blowouts, as well as rashes, that he never had with Gdiapers. a few tips: Launder them before you use them - make sure to close the velcro or they will ruin the other clothes, super strong. Get an extra package of liners(Small and up) and it triples the time between washes. We have 8 pants with the liners they came with and an extra 6 and we can go a whole week. If you aren't used to cloth, they look a little wide. Our pediatrician said its actually better for their hips. I used to think I would never travel with gdiapers and use disposable, but now with the reliability and lack of leaks, they are the only ones I will travel with! We love these. Note to the above comments: they do look a little hard when you first start them. After about 3 washes, they soften up. I washed the mediums a few times before we started them and had no problems. A note on sizes: Newborns are often said to be too small. My 7 lb, 21 inch baby used them for 3 weeks and he was gaining fast. The smalls lasted until about 2.5 months. The mediums are going to last FOREVER - up to 28 lbs! I have heard the fit is for slimmer babies but my kiddo has a small belly and some chunky thighs and they fit great. My friend's baby had an ample bottom and they preferred another brand.

These newborn diapers are not bad as a beginners diaper, because they are truly tiny and easy to fit. However, I will not be sticking with this brand. The design is a little too rough on my babies skin. This kit comes with about 12 newborn sizes and a few in the next size up. The newborn size only lasted a few weeks before it started getting too snug, and left marks on my sons thighs. The next size up has rough/hard edging that leaves red marks on his skin. I will be moving to a brand that is more soft along the edges like fuzzybunz.

I am so glad I went with these cloth diapers. They have saved me so much money and cleaning them is not that bad. My son still has yet to have a diaper rash and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we use cloth diapers. The colors are great and the cloth inserts are so soft. I also love the disposable inserts for when we are on the road. Just a little swish of the wand and it disappears!
