gCloth Inserts, 6 pack

gCloth Inserts, 6 pack Reviews

by gDiapers
Average rating: rating (7 reviews)
gCloth inserts offer a washable and reusable option for gDiapers. They are designed specifically to fit gPants so they don’t require any folding. Two layers of soft 100% polyester microfleece wick moisture away from baby's bottom keeping it feeling dry and comfortable while two layers of hemp/cotton absorb wetness and hold moisture in. The white side goes against baby's bum, the brown hemp/cotton... read more »

I really like the gdiaper system. I am happy with the absorbency of the gcloths. I double them up, so that there are 2 gcloths in every liner. I find that this is the best way to keep our son dry. It means doing more laundry, but they are just not absorbent enough with just one gcloth. It doesn't seem to effect the fit. One problem I have with them is that they seem to loose absorbency. I stripped them following the instructions on the gdiaper website and I do an extra wash with no detergent quite frequently. This issue may be due to my washer or my water, I'm not sure. We used size small for about 3 months and they are about half as absorbent as when they were brand new. This is my first baby, so I have no experience with any other brand of cloth diapers to compare absorbency. I was hoping to be able to reuse for my next baby, but not sure if that's possible. All in all they fit well and work well. They're easy to use and clean. Plus they're not as bulky as some of the other cloth diapers that my friends use, so his clothes fit better. I would recommend them, but definitely try using 2 gcloths each time. Our baby sleeps through the night in them.

We have a 3mo little girl and we received a gdiaper starter kit as a babyshower gift in size Medium. I was very excited to use them, so when our baby reached the right size and weight to use them, I was really happy. However, both gcloth and disposable inserts leak and they don't absorb moisture very well. The diapers and constantly humid or wet, even after 30 minutes. But the worse was that our baby developed a terrible diaper rash shortly after we started using gdiapers. She never had diaper rash before. We went back to our old seventh generation diapers and now we are trying to heal her rash... I thought that other moms should know about our very disappointing experience before they invest money in the inserts, liners and gpants...

They are so soft and absorbent!!! I started out using the disposable inserts which are great too but ended up buying some of the cloth to save money.

OK, so I love the G diapers system, they fit my son from the very beginning which is hard to say for most cloth diapers which are usually too big and bulky for newborns. The disposable biodegradable inserts are fantastic for being away from home and traveling. When I saw that there was now also cloth inserts I thought that would be great for home and to save us some money bc we wouldn't go thru the disposables as fast. But the cloth ones dont seem to stay put in the liners as well and also dont seem to absorb as well either so we are having alot of leakage problems. I'm not sure if its bc we're inserting them incorrectly or if we are not changing them out soon enough or what but we are just not having as much luck with these...

I'm a devoted gDiapers mama, using prefolds in the liners. i bought these inserts really enthusiastically, but they have failed to live up to what i had hoped. the plus side - they are really absorbent and wash/dry well. down sides - they bunch up and are way too small (in the med/lg size) for the liners.

We bought these as an extra layer that could wick onto hemp prefolds that we already and they're great. Definitely wouldn't be absorbent enough on their own, though. Our toddler is a heavy wetter so finding anything that could last 2 hours is a challenge (even though we hold her out to potty every hour or so). The fleece doesn't stink easily which is good. They take a bit longer to dry than our hemp prefolds though.

We've been using the g-diapers, along with BumGenius and FuzziBunz. I love all of them, but the g-diapers have been great for our baby while he's still very little because they are the trimmest fitting. We had some issues with our toilet getting clogged from the flushable inserts for g-diapers, so when I saw the cloth inserts, I jumped on them. They don't fit perfectly (they bunch a little) but my little guy doesn't seem to mind the bunching. So easy to wash and dry, we've actually stopped using the flushable inserts.
