I just ordered this infant seat and am extremely pleased with it. It is very soft, I love the color (it is definitely a champagne/tan color, not grey) and you can't beat the safety rating. Compared to other, older SnugRide models (and some you can still get that are much cheaper), this is a whole lot easier to use because you can adjust the straps from the front. Don't be fooled by cheaper seats that force you to adjust from the back every time!
I bought this seat from the "open box" clearance section of BabyEarth and it is in perfect condition...and I got a great discount! I'd definitely recommend that feature to anyone who is looking for a good deal! Very happy with this purchase.

We bought this car seat because the SnugRide is listed as a great choice on consumer reports. The color is also neutral and since it is in about 100 photos it is not too bad to look at :- )

The downside to this car seat is that it takes up a lot of room. I have a Subaru Forester and putting it in the back seat makes the front seat practically unusable. I'm only 5 foot 1 and I still have trouble sitting in the front because my legs are cramped. Putting the car seat in the middle is not an option because that forces both front seats too far forward.

The unit is also heavy. I'm not sure if there are much lighter ones but if I need another one in the future I will probably shop around for a different model.

I was disappointed with this car seat. The canopy is poorly made and there were major gaps on the side exposing the foam. I was also disappointed with Graco's customer service in addressing the problems. I would not buy another Graco car seat in the future based on my experience.

I purchased this infant seat for my third child. We had a Graco Snugride seat before and liked it a lot, but after 2 kids and a lot of use it was time to buy a new one. I researched infant seats on Baby Bargains and Consumer Reports and read reviews on Babies R Us and Amazon's websites. Ultimately, I liked the Snugride the best and purchased it again. I like the fabric and padding on this one. It was nicer than the ones carried in-store at Babies R Us. So I am very pleased with this carseat.

I love this carseat too, but the photos is a little misleading. I thought the colors were gray/silver and black. It is tan and black. Which are still nice colors. I was looking to match an old double stroller that was gray/red/black/white. Oh well. Still love the colors.

We love our Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat - Platinum. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and the baby fits snugly in the seat. We also have the Graco SnugRider Car Seat Frame Stroller, which makes it easy to snap the car seat into a stroller. This is a great combo for quick trips.
