Music with Mar. is a class where a caregiver and child (ages birth through preschool) participate together in musical activities. These classes are focused on the four main areas of development – cognitive, social, motor and language.
Classes are drop-in, so no advance sign-up needed. The class costs $10/family, payable directly to Angie, the class leader.
A 5-class punch card is $35/family. As always, our family pricing allows for moms or caregivers to bring all little ones (in one family) for one price.
Music With Mar classes are every Wednesday at 9:15AM.
KinderDance of North Austin’s Programs encourage children to have fun and gain a love for learning by associating it with something that comes naturally — movement, music, dance, and fitness! Cost for the class will be $5 payable directly to the teacher. Our dance class is an age appropriate dance and creative movement program designed to develop gross motor skills, movement creativity, physical development (flexibility, strength, balance, coordination), tumbling, body awareness and communication skills! More information on Kinderdance of North Austin can be found at www.northaustindance.com.
Baby Sensory Play will be held every Wednesday at 3:30pm. We invite our younger friends (18 months & under) to join this group and enjoy the various activities planned each week! Every experience is designed to stimulate at least one or more senses (e.g. visual, auditory and tactile), as well as enhance the child’s physical, social, emotional, and language skills.
Baby Sign & Play is designed for children ages 0-3.
Classes are scheduled every week:
- Tuesday at 2:30PM, 3:30PM & 5:30PM
- Thursday at 9:30AM
- Saturday at 9:30AM
Parent and child participants. $6 per class, drop ins welcome! Buy a block of 4 classes for a discount! Payable directly to Amy, the instructor.
Baby Sign & Play Classes provide an interactive learning session for child and parent to begin the path to learn basic sign language communication skills. Research has shown how pre-verbal children, who learn ASL, have reduced frustration and stress by being able to convey their needs and feelings. Learning Sign Language is a fun way for the whole family to learn a second language.
Class begins with a Welcome Song. We will introduce the words for the week and use them in finger plays and songs. In the middle of class a short “free play” time will be available for children to explore items used to reinforce our new signs and for parents to interact with them. We may also use CD songs and possible clips from the Signing Time series to reinforce the daily theme. Class will end with a Goodbye song. Tips, resources and suggested materials will be available in class.

About the class:
This comprehensive 12-week partner-coached class focuses on preparation for natural childbirth and parenthood. We will focus on a wide variety of topics relating to pregnancy, the birth process and adjusting to life after baby as a couple. Our class will include birth videos, relaxation practices, labor rehearsals, discussion and communication exercises. One of the best things about a 12 week class is the development of friendships with other parents-to-be. We will also cover the importance of choosing a birth team and place that support your goals, the creation of a birth plan, and the importance of flexibility in birth. The goal of this class is to give you the tools and confidence to feel prepared and empowered in your decision making and to feel at peace with your birth journey wherever it might lead.
