It has come in handy for us already and we've only owned it for a short time. We haven't had time to go on a picnic yet, but we used it as a play area at Starbuck's while we had drinks with friends and we laid it out in a shopping cart at Lowe's so our 1 yr old could nap in the basket of the cart. It seemed very comfortable. It's a little heavy, but I just hang it from the handle of our stroller and away we go. Oh, when it's folded there is also a little pocket that I've used to keep sunscreen. I would recommend this to friends.
