Kidco Center Gateway 12.5" Extension

This extention kit is designed to elongate KidCo's premiere Center Gateway. This TOP RATED pressure mounted gate installs quickly without tools or hardware, leaving no holes to damage walls or woodwork.

The basic Center Gateway® fits openings 29" to 37" wide. Use this extension kit to fit openings 47½" - 49½". Constructed of tubular steel and 29½" tall, it's great for kids and pets, too. Available in black and white to coordinate with any room.

I ordered the extension for my gates that are 6 years old. Although the extension works great; it's a new configuration than the ones I bought 6 years ago. They seem sturdier but not as versatile. When using the old ones, you can add small increments. The new ones make you commit to a longer extension. I guess it's fine either way since the spindle (pressure attachment) allows you to change the width.

We had tried many different type of gates for our twin boys and put these up with multiple extensions on two wide spaces and they are working out perfectly - a little stiff at first but now I can use one hand and hold on to a kid at the same time and get thru without problems! I have ours on the bottom step and the top of stairs as well - equally effective.
