This is so cool. It comes with a double-sided tape/gel type thing. And it just sticks to your sliding door (the diagram shows where to put it). When you want to open the door, you just push it & you can slide the door. Very easy to use, works well!

I was so excited when I found these locks. I wanted to use them for closet doors and a sliding shower door.I was shocked to find that these locks don't fit. The doors slide right over them!! The packaging says there is a maximun depth between the doors but that isn't listed online. Had I known I wold have measured and not wasted the money buying and shipping these.The adhesive doesn't look all that strong so even if they had fit, I am not sure they would have lasted long anyway. Get the Safety 1st locks, they stick on and squeeze to open. They are he best product I have used in a long time.

Does exactly what I wanted - keeps my son out of the closet and stops him from smashing his hands and fingers in the doors.

This locks work really great on hollow wood texture closet doors IF you are willing to drill in a couple of small screws to hold it in place. My toddler was able to 'pop' the lock off by pushing on the door as the two sided mounting tape wasn't able to withstand the pressure. Once the screws were in place the lock worked FANTASTIC.
