It's a great idea, as it's such a pain to have to take the lining out of the car seat for cleaning. It's not rigid at all like the picture looks which isn't a problem. The only issue is that there isn't a cut out for the seat belts in the car seat, but that's really minor and doesn't affect how the product works. We haven't had any accidents yet, but can definitely see the value of this product. And it washed well.
