I'm surprised at all the bad reviews. We've had these dishes for over a year an no problems. They are easy to microwave and clean and a nice design too. I'm only sorry BabyEarth no longer seems to carry the plates.

These dishes are definitely NOT kid-friendly. As a previous reviewer noted, not only do these dishes break, but they shatter into hundreds of tiny shards of glass. Really, they are just terrible. I noticed that the manufacturer wrote "shock resistant" in their description as opposed to shatterproof or break resistant. What exactly is a shock resistant dish? Hmmm...that vague term certainly helps protect the manufacturer against claims of false advertising. The bottom line is, I would not recommend these dishes to a family with small children. The risk of cuts or embedded pieces of glass if a dish breaks is just too high.

These are the worst, most breakable plates I have ever used. Every single time one of these plates or glasses has been dropped (from a height of no greater than 2 1/2 feet), they have shattered. Not just broken, but exploded into thousands of shards of tiny glass bits. I'd have been better off using my plain ceramic dishes which at least have the decency to only break into 3 large pieces when dropped. These are horrible and I cannot imagine what on earth they are using in those videos that demonstrate the supposed break-resistance of these dishes.

i was hesitant to buy these as i have ceramic tile floors and although tempered, i still don't trust that they won't break. however - i thought back to the amount of times i've dropped a bowl in my kitchen and... can't even remember when it happened, so i took a chance and bought these and love them. all my dishes get really hot in the microwave but these just get "warm" so i don't need to heat something up in one dish and then transfer it to a cool dish anymore. the stackable ones are the obvious choice. a little on the pricey side but well worth it to not feed my child out of plastic, chemical ridden dishes.
