We purchased this gate & it wasn't even a year before it was broken. The junction where the mesh connects to the plastic to hook close was the first to break & next was the entire hardward piece that you screw into the wood frame in your house. It was not worth the money, they need to greatly improve this product!

We use the gate at the bottom of our stairs and love it! It is sturdy (and will last through repeated abuses from a toddler but not so sturdy when jumped in by a 100 lb dog) and does the trick of keeping our son downstairs. Plus, we didn't have to screw anything into our spindles or banister. The gate is kind of noisy if you operate it one-handed but is silent if you use it with both hands. We enjoy that it rolls away when not in use and it's the only one I have ever seen that has this type of install without screwing anything in (if you purchase the stair adapter kit) and is useful around stairs. Overall a great purchase and well worth every penny!
