I bought an electric Medela pump after trying the hand pump first. The hand pump was just too much work and made my hand ache and took forever. My baby had an operation and had to be in the hospital for about a week; the hospital gave me one of these to use while I stayed with her and she couldn't breastfeed, and I thought I had died and gone to heaven! You simply cannot understand the convenience of an electric pump, and of being able to pump both sides at the same time. It can be hard to adjust to breastfeeding, especially the time it takes, and this makes it just a little bit faster and easier when you need to pump. If you are working and pumping, or if you are just looking to pump a little extra so Daddy can feed the baby too, or for something when you are feeling uncomfortable and your baby is sleeping or full, you will be really and truly happy with this product. Medela is great because there are so many parts and options, replacements are available, and you can even store the milk in the bottles. A must-have for every new mom!
