While this may be nice size monitor it doesn't work very well. The reception is horrible, no matter where you are in your house. We put high-end batteries in, and they lasted less then a day. So it always needs to be plugged in, and we are constantly moving it around the room until we get ok reception. But there is always a fuzzy noise, so we just use the monitor part, and leave our daughters door open so we can hear her. I would NOT recommend this. The only reason we still have it is because it only has a 90 day warranty, and we received it as a shower gift, and didn't have our daughter in her room until after she was 3 months old. If you get this try it out ASAP. But I do not recommend it!
