The suction is exceptionally strong and as long as the user understands that the Safe-er Grip is for balancing/steadying rather than for holding up full-body weight, it'll work like a charm. Best of all was the experience with babyearth.com. Rarely does a website deliver so efficiently and so, in addition to the product itself, I'd recommend this vendor with great enthusiasm.

Submitted By: gg from Leesburg, VA   Date: 04/16/2008 We purchased these as an alternative to permanantly bolting a grab bar to our ceramic tile shower while our elderly father visited for a week. We put them up and were very impressed with the quality and stability until a few hours later heard a loud thud upstairs and discovered one had come away from the wall and fell to the floor. We reaffixed them again and they stayed in place this time until the next day, when we had to reaffix them again. The bottom line is that they did work well enough to provide support but we had to check to make sure both ends were firmly in place before each use. While it saved us from having to bolt to the tile, I would not recommend for long term/heavy use.
