I cannot recommend this grinder. It was difficult to insert the metal piece, then impossible to remove it afterwards to clean the grinder. My daughter-in-law is also very frustrated while trying to grind the last few inches of food.

I have never written a product review before but always check them out before I buy most products so I wanted to "give back" to other moms looking to make their own baby food. I had a horrible time trying to use this Muchkin grinder. I don't know if my grinder was faulty or if the product is just difficult to work with. I could not get the grater to fit properly without using and eventually mangeling (sp) one of our forks. Once I got the grater in it took a rediculous amount of strength to just grate about 2 T of greenbeans. I let my husband try to assemble it and he shared my frustation. I am now on the market for a new grinder!
