JT from NY NY  August 8th, 2009 I purchased a full suite of Newport Cottage furniture and paid to have it delivered and assembled. The side rail never worked right and I paid to have the company who installed it come back to see if it could be repaired. They reassembled the entire crib and it still doesnt work. I made numerous attempts to contact Newport Cottage - it is like penetrating the Pentagon. They eventually acknowleged my emails and said it sounded like a manuafacturing error. They claimed to be sending new side rails. That was several weeks ago. The rails never arrived and again, no one at Newport Cottage is returning my calls or emails. I also tried to have the vendor help - its was Bibi's in NJ - she too claimed to not be able to do anything.
The furniture is beautiful. It just doesn't work. My mother purchased a used Bellini crib for her home - retail $900, she paid $100 as its several years old. It works perfectly.
