We purchased a panel newport crib earlier last year, though not through babyearth as it wasnt available at that time on this site.

It's a very sturdy, solid crib. You pretty much get what you pay for. It's the kind of crib that will definately last for the next couple of babies. I would definately buy from newport again.

The chocolate color is like the typical espresso color. We also purchased a matching dresser from newport.

The ONLY drawback with the panel crib is because of the front and back panels, you cant get a bumper that is meant to go all around the crib. So you'll have to be a bit more creative with the kind of bumper you buy. But due to saftey reasons, we dont even use a bumper, so not really an issue.
