I bought this mobile for my baby girl's crib because I loved the colors and the seaside theme, and wanted to give her something fun to look at. She ended up loving it so much, she smiles and coos as it dances around. I may buy another similar one for her playpen.

The pros: I love the look of the mobile, and it matches my mermaid nursery decor perfectly. The colors are vivid and the music is sweet and soft. Functionally, it rotates very well without shaking the whole bed.

The cons: The unit base and crib attachement are made of plastic. It does not appear to be very sturdy and will probably end up broken as soon as the baby can reach for it. Also, the attaching part is made for straight rail beds. Our bed has a slanted side rail and the back is also curved which makes it hard to keep the mobile sitting up straight.

Overall, it is a little on the expensive side, but since it's our first child... I went for the decor factor. We will probably end getting something more useful like the FP Ocean Aquarium as our baby girl gets big enough to grab and touch.
