Oeuf (pronounced "uff", as in rhyming with stuff) is a design company with a mission to bring simple, clean and safe design into the nursery. The name "oeuf" means egg in French and reflects the company's passion for straightforward design aesthetic. With foundations in innovative design, quality customer service, current technology and social responsibility, oeuf produces quality furniture that will last a lifetime.

Oeuf was founded in 2002 by Sophie Demenge and Michael Ryan, a French-American husband and wife team based in Brooklyn, New York. As first time parents, Sophie and Michael wanted the children's nursery to reflect their passion for clean design and environmental responsibility. The result of this pursuit was a contemporary nursery collection with a few essential, functional pieces.

Oeuf's notion to, "be a good company" is reflected in three major tenets: be good designers, be good people and be good to the planet. "Be good designers" is reflected in simple, clean, intuitive products that are both easy and safe to use. Also, all oeuf products are made with quality materials and craftsmanship to ensure they will be passed down from generation to generation. "Be good people" is important to oeuf since the company strives to treat all employees, artisans, retailers and consumers fairly and provide a supportive working environment. Finally, much like BabyEarth, "be good to the planet" is an important foundation of oeuf. oeuf uses natural, renewable and recyclable materials that emphasize conservation. Additionally, oeuf uses eco-conscious manufacturing processes that promote low emissions and sustainability.

The Oeuf Classic Crib reflects the company's philosophy perfectly by blending modern design while emphasizing safety. Common in European cribs, oeuf uses fixed side rails and a lower center of gravity to ensure sturdiness and safety. The headboard, footboard and sides are all cut from single pieces of wood to eliminate the hazard of loosening joints. The crib also converts to a toddler bed with an optional conversion kit (sold separately).

Another product that reflects oeuf's dedication to clean, functional pieces is the Oeuf Changing Station. It attaches securely atop the oeuf Crib as well as most standard size cribs. Not only does it eliminate the need for a changing table but also it positions baby for safer and more convenient changing. This space-saving station includes a changing pad and glides on the top rail to the desired position.
