I really didn't want to buy another stroller. We have a BOB Ironman single stroller and another Chicco stroller. The last thing I wanted to do was buy a 3rd, but we are in a nanny share and needed to get a double. I wanted to get the phil & teds because of the tandem ride because the side-by-sides are so big and bulky. Great if you have twins, but with kids of different ages, this is the way to go.
I looked at getting the Sport model or this Classic. Really, the adjustable handle bar, 4th recline position and different colors were not enough to make the $180 difference worth it. In the end, very happy with the purchase.
The thing I was most worried about was a kid not wanting to sit in the rear seat. As it turns out, my kid REFUSES, but the other kid LOVES it (they are 14 and 16 months - my kid is the younger one). When we have #2, it won't be an issue either because the youngest will be back there.
Great features:
Folds up very compact
Light
Easily manuevers through stores and streets
Comfortable ride - my son falls asleep easily
Love the second seat for extra storage even when we have just one kid in it
Things we don't complain about, but wish were different:
Can't fold it up or open it with one hand
Wish there was a hand break
Bad:
We blew a tire last weekend - and something we couldn't patch. I have looked online and can't find spare tubes specifically for the stroller. I need to go to my local store to see if they carry them because they are unique. We did go to REI and bought 12.5 inch tubes to use that work, but you have to go to a gas station or have REI inflate them for you because of the angle of the valve. The tubes made for the stroller have curved valves, but if you buy off-the-shelf tubes, they are straight. So I recommend finding the correct tubes and buying a few to keep on hand.
