My 7 month old granddaughter doesn't quite get it and enjoys the balls and has tried to use the hammer. It is a very well made, safe toy. My 4 yr old thinks it is great fun!

My daughter got this for Christmas when she was 11 months old. She loves it! It took her all of 1 minute to figure out how to hammer on the balls. She replaces them and starts hammering again. The only thing I would change about it is the fact that the hammer is not attached to the box. On the second day of playing, my daughter took the hammer and started to pound on our windows... So I drilled a hole into the side of the box and the top of the hammer handle and used a string to attach the hammer. Since then, it has stayed of our windows and everyone is happy.

My baby got this almost 3 months ago as a gift and he still loves it, he also likes to play with the pieces separately. I think it's a well thought toy.
