I have been using euro-style strollers for over a year now. I am active duty military who has been living in Germany, and was able to try out many of the Pram-style strollers that are popular here. These heavy duty, pneumatic tire strollers are usually heavy, and a bit bulky, but very very stable and great on coblestone roads and trails. When owned a Maxi Cosi Mura (only available in Europe), similar to the Maxi Cosi Foray sold in the US, and loved it .. but it was too heavy, compared to other strollers. Then I found the Buzz and won't change it for ANYTHING. It is much lighter than most of the other Pram-style strollers with all terrain wheels and suspension. Very stylish and eye-catchy too ..would definitely recommend to all new parents.
I got the travel system (came with the Maxi Cosi car seat) and don't regret it. The mandarin color pops and the stroller turns a lot of heads. Mind you, it will take up a lot of trunk space and it's a bit heavy. It barely has any storage space and nowhere to put a drink, etc. unless you buy accessories. The stroller seat is awesome though. It's soft and I like that I get 2 options, forward or rear facing, and nice recline choices either way. I've taken the stroller out jogging and on terrain walks; it held up beautifully.
I bought the stroller and i ended up returning it. its a small stroller. very little room underneath. I ended up buying a bugaboo cameleon and LOVE IT. I can change the color any time.
We were using the quinny back in Singapore and found it very maneuverable. We were actually contemplating between this and a stokke which we also liked very much. As the terrain in USA is less city, we decided on the quinny which will help us get a smoother ride since the wheels are larger. We love it and are glad of the choice. Worked well with the maxicosi car seat which we brought from Singapore to here. Has been making people turn and say,'hey, look at that stroller lots' too.
I have been using the buzz now for about 8 months and LOVE IT! It is very stylish and sleek and you'll receive lots of compliments on it. I was using the Maxi-Cosi Mico car seat up until recently and now that my son is growing out of the infant seat, I have started using the Quinny seat that comes with the stroller. My little man loves it because he can kind of sit up while placing his hands on the bar and see everything. It's most wonderful because I can turn him toward me or face him away from me depending on his (or my) mood. I have had no trouble with storage as the storage basket that comes with it will hold several bags/items. I love that the handle is adjustable because my husband and I both use the stroller and he is much taller than I am. I read the reviews before I bought it and almost didn't get it because of the reviews. I think that if you are looking for the same old thing that everyone else has and love all of the frilly stuff you may not want this stroller. I like that it is different, well made and fits my life style. It has hydrolics and pops right up from the close position. It also is NOT large as I have an Infinity EX 35 (which is a small cross-over) and it fits very nicely in the back of my car. Having to remove the seat to break it down is no trouble either...very easy process. I can't even imagine why anyone would give this stroller a bad review because I think it is the greatest!!! My husband does have to oil the front wheel every now and then but other than that I have no complaints what so ever. Also, the Bugaboo cup holder works perfectly on the Buzz. I don't think you will be disapointed if you buy one! It's well worth the money!
When I read reviews on this before buying it, I found two negative reviews - it doesn't fit in a Renault Clio without taking the wheels off and there isn't much storage. I now know that's just the tip of the iceberg...
The adjustable handle has broken, and the frame is being returned to Dorel by Mothercare (wonder Customers Services), who are lending me a pushchair while it is mended. This has enabled me to discover exactly how bad the Buzz is, and I've even taking to asking other mums if they have the same problems.
By far the biggest pain is the front wheel. If you reverse the buggy, the wheel turns all the way around, but will then only turn half way back, which means you are trying to push a wheel sideways - this is most noticeable in shops and has caused me to have to visit the doctor with chest pains caused by strained muscles. The breaks don't work. The pump-up tyres get punctures. It is difficult to collapse and in cold weather it can't be done without gloves. You can't collapse it with the carrycot on and it is very difficult to fit the carrycot into the car with the frame. The frame is too big for your average car, so you have to take the wheels off to get it in (which are obviously dirty). The straps on the buggy part do not clip in separately like a highchair - you have to hold them together like a car seat - this is very difficult when you have a struggling toddler. The straps do not adjust much - he always seems to have been too big for the pushchair. Not having two separate handles makes carrying shopping difficult. It is very expensive.
I had been thinking about the Quinny Buzz, UPPA Baby and Bugaboo for a while. I couldn't make up my mind until I saw the buzz in person. Based on the baby earth video, it looked very easy to open. After seeing all three at the store, I picked the Buzz. I also have the Maxi-Cosi car seat and it's great too. Love the yellow, sulpher color.
If you're in the market for a single stroller/travel system, look no further! The Buzz is just incredible. After seeing it in the store and having the salesperson demo it for us, we were sold. The first thing that's great about the Buzz is the super-duper soft seat. The fabric feels so good to the touch and it really hugs your baby. The colors are superb! We got the hot pink with orange accents for our little princess. It's very easy to switch out the car seat and the stroller seat - even my hubby could do it in a flash. It's responsive and easy to turn in tight spaces. Three cheers for the Buzz!
