Anya              July 29th, 2010 I followed instructions, washed the oven and let it dry. The adhesive did not hold and the unit fell off right away. I could not use it an wasted my money, there are much better units out there.

It came off in the begining a few times and then it is staying put. I will not recommend this to any one. 1. Because it is not that durable even though it can be temporary solution. it's not costly ave money to waste..go ahead. 2. It does not align with my oven but functions(my son can't open it when it is locked). And it looks ugly on my stainless steel oven. Hate the appearance. 3. Once my son grows lil more stronger, he can pull it off. So it's a waste in my eyes.

Jessica              July 4th, 2010 We had the oven lock attached with the adhesive for a few weeks. I use the oven pretty regularly and after only a few weeks the adhesive wore off. I saw another review saying they secured by drilling it to the actual oven so I'll have to try that out.

Sara O              September 10th, 2008 We've had our oven front lock for two years and it has worked wonderfully. It installed easily without tools. I use my oven several times a week and the adhesive has never weakened. I show it to all the new parents who come over.

Barbara Grevis              September 13th, 2007 i purchased this item because my son liked trying to climb into the oven. it worked great AFTER we took the adhesive off and drilled holes through it and secured it to the oven...the first time we used the oven after applying the adhesive lock the way it says to do it, the lock came right off when we opened the door and we only had the oven set at 350 degrees.
