I just got a set of the fork and spoon set. They are wonderful - but only for kids who are right handed. Note in the pictures how these utensils slant to the left. Yes, the kids have an easier time learning to feed themselves and get more food into their mouths rather than in their lap or on the floor. The bowl part of each is deep enough to get a good size bite even if the child spills some of the food, which always seems to happen.

However, for kids who are left handed i would suggest using utensils with straight handles unless you can find utensils made especially for left handed children. I take care of a child who uses his left hand and this set really doesn't work for him at all. If i can find a set for toddlers who are left handed i'll get them.

20+ years ago I used an angled spoon and fork for my kids. I was looking for a smiliar set for my grand-daughter and I finally found Sassy Flexi Grip Toddler Fork & Spoon. These are fantastic! They are designed to make baby get the food in their mouths. With regular style utensils its more of a miss than a hit when they go try to feed themselves. Baby feels good about themselves and is less messy. The colors are bright and attractive and the grip is very comfortable. Dishwasher safe. I would highly recommend these to every parent.

Hi,
The Soft Landing, which was also selling these spoons in good faith after being told by Sassy they were BPA-free, have just discovered that they indeed contain BPA. Sassy gave them wrong information. Just be aware that these spoons contain BPA.
