Mitsko from Los Angeles, CA October 13th, 2009 This bassinet is very sturdy and great quality. You can rock the baby to sleep in it. However, the bassinet needs to be taken apart with an allen wrench if you want to remove the fabric to wash it. Our baby pooped on the bassinet walls the first week he was home, and it was very frustrating to have to take the whole thing apart in order to clean it. (Tip: Make sure you wash it in cold water and don't put it in the dryer as it will shrink. We line dried it and it even shrank a little with line dry). Poop also soaked through the sheet and onto the mattress -- it's not so easy to clean the mattress, so I would recommend putting a waterproof material between the sheet and the mattress if you can find one in that size. We're just using something disposable from the hospital. Also, the sheet shrank after we washed it, and it became hard to fit the sheet onto the mattress and the wooden board underneath. These are some design flaws that leads to me to believe this was not designed by a parent!
