Submitted By: Susan from Los Angeles   Date: 11/11/2008 we bought some cheaper mats at toysrus and had to leave them out for weeks before the smell went away. i wish i had seen this one first as it's made w/ healthier material and it's so much cuter. we bought the multi-colored one and didn't use the blues as they don't work in our baby's room... she loves it. we love it. i've been emailing links to my friends about it... i wish we could buy more reds and yellows tho

Submitted By: Joseph's Mom   Date: 10/01/2008 I was very excited when I purchased this adorable playmat- to by used on the floor under our play yard. However, my 9 month old is able to pull the pieces up and I find him chewing on the pieces. A potential choking hazard. While this is rated for younger children, I would not use this with babies that are teething.

Submitted By: Andrea   Date: 09/17/2008 I have a 2 1/2 years and a 8 month old and both of them love this mat. I love it too. The colors are great, it's a little softer and thicker than other puzzle mats like this on the market. I sure recommend this product. The pieces come apart very easily. It didn't bother me at the begining but after several times of putting it back together I decided to use pieces of masking tape underneath it. It works. I still think it's a little expensive for what it is .... but it looks cool!

Submitted By: Kate from Florida   Date: 07/22/2008 I don't have a separate "playroom" for my 7 month old. He spends most of his day in the family room when awake and I found this playmat a lot more attractive than the usual alphabet one. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because since the connections are at the corners only, there are gaps between the pieces. Since the purpose is for an esthetically pleasing soft play area for my baby, I do not mind it. My 4 year old loves to rearrange the circles!

Submitted By: Calle ...   Date: 07/15/2008 I absolutely love this playmat - first it is does not have all the colors of the rainbow so it fits in with our decor and the best part about it is that I can't seem to get my 6 month old son or my 2 1/2 old daughter off it.

Submitted By: Stella's Mom from Chicago, IL   Date: 06/23/2008 Was very pleased with the mat when we received it. It is much more cusion than the Alphabet Mat out on the market and provides me with more comfort when my 6 month old is sitting and falling, etc.
The only thing is that is stretches easily and I am constantly trying to put it back together. Also, my daughter can pull it apart easy and has gotten stuck in the middle of the circles. Your child may not be as adventurous as mine, I am still happy with the purchase.

Submitted By: Daniela Ross from Sunnyvale, CA   Date: 06/20/2008 My 7-month old daughter loves to crawl on it. She also takes it apart and chews the little parts. I think it is great that she found news ways to use it. However, I thought I would not give 5 out of 5 just because the parts are not very tightly connected. But this is not a very big issue - it just means that there are little gaps in between the mat pieces sometimes. I bought another one for another room. They take some time to put together, so I thought I would have two rather than carry one back and forth.

Submitted By: Jenn from Atlanta, GA   Date: 05/22/2008 It doesn't smell, the baby is entertained by it and, perhaps best of all, it doesn't make my house look like a circus--its attractive in my space!! I would definitely recommend this mat.

Submitted By: Brigitte from Boston, MA   Date: 05/21/2008 My husband & I actually saw this flooring solution in an insurance ad on TV. Thanks to some good googling, we were able to find out that it is the Skip Hop Playspot. It really works for us. We have a small nursery with hardwood floors for our 3 month old son. The playmat serves as a rug, anchoring the room visually. It is nice and soft underfoot, ready for impromptu playing (especially easy on grandparents as well). Spills and spit-up can be immediately cleaned up, as opposed to having a whole rug cleaned. The 'Gold and Blue' option looks great with our nursery decor. Older kids will probably love assembling the floor, as it's just a big puzzle. Everyone who sees it loves it. The only, and very small, downside is that the flooring does slide a tiny bit on the hardwood floor but I would still highly recommend this floor solution.
