Stokke Tripp Trapp Cushion - Premium

I saw this chair everywhere is baby boutiques and it was very close to what I wanted for my baby ~ minimalist design, eco-wood, non-toxic finish, adjustable to grow with child. But no tray! And a very severe angular design. I ended up buying a Svan highchair instead with infant seat kit and cushion and tray (the plastic tray cover was free). I felt Svan has a better design with an the open back that acts as a handle for picking up the chair, more color choice for seat cushions which are phthalate and PBDE free, and has precise adjustment with Allen wrenchs and knobs. However the Svan was difficult to assemble with so many pieces. Most fit perfectly together except for the leg support braces on the bottom - I had to shave away some wood to make it fit. The problem was the lack of sanding the slots where the braces fit. It looks like Stokke might not have this problem with a simpler design and a very smooth sanded finish and Stokke also has a little nicer eco-wood (Beech instead of Birch) but I don't feel it is worth the extra $100 for the same infant kit with no tray.
