Designed in the Netherlands and commended as one of the most unique and innovative strollers on the market today, the Stokke Xplory came about after wondering why many children cry and appear unhappy in most strollers. The Xplory motto "Higher is better" promotes the understanding of the need for children to feel both comfortable and secure. Thus Stokke pioneered a way to keep your child as close to you as possible while staying mobile, creating an enhanced bonding experience. The Stokke Xplory is one of the few strollers that allows for eye contact between parent and child, since at birth the greatest visual distance an infant can maintain is fifteen inches. The full-face contact thus allows for better language acquisition skills. The Xplory provides for the physical growth of your child as well as their emotional well-being by keeping your child lifted farther off the ground than most strollers to give them a panoramic view of the surrounding environment.

Perfect for urban living as well as multi-level terrain, the Xplory is easily maneuverable on and off public transportation, up and down stairs, on the beach or through a field. The stroller is based around a central chassis bar made from lightweight aluminum and recyclable automobile polymer plastic that adjusts up and down from 26.5"-45.5" in height. The larger back wheels add stability and prevent tipping. They are based spaciously apart with no cross-bar to separate them so parents can push both leisurely and quickly and to allow for a long and complete stride without risk of sacrificing posture or risking injury. The front wheels rotate for easier maneuverability; it is simple to fold and small enough at twenty-three pounds to easily fit in the trunk or back seat of a vehicle.

A front or rear facing carry cot bassinet is included to use for newborns up to infants six months in age or twenty-two pounds in weight. It allows for your baby to sleep in the perfectly horizontal and recommended position on their backs. The carry cot includes a liner, mattress pad, fleece blanket, handles and cover for the top of the carry cot to shield your sleeping infant. The sleeping bag offers versatility in that it may be opened and used as a baby blanket. Stokke went to great lengths to maintain the highest levels of functional luxury in the Xplory. As your child reaches six months in age, simply remove the bassinet and attach the child seat to the central bar. Your child's neck muscles should be developed to the point of sufficiently maintaining control of their head and they should have the visual ability to see across a room. The Stokke Xplory allows them to practice both of these newfound skills by letting your child look up and out at the world.

The child seat meets all U.S. and international safety standards and features an all new four-point harness system with shoulder strap pads. The seat is comfortably upholstered, includes a body pillow for infants, reclines in five different positions, and has an adjustable footrest for flat foot support and to allow your child's legs to stretch as they grow. The seat can face both to the front and rear and can be moved up or down the chassis to lift from or lower your child closer to the ground.
