He is smaller than average, and although he was doing well with the little potty, it was going to be awhile before he could use the adult toilet. I did a bit of research on other options, many of which seemed to have safety issues. This was by far the most expensive, but worth it. He used it immediately, without hesitation or instruction (and he had been nervous about the adult toilet before). It is so sturdy, I feel very confident that it can be used without supervision. And I know it will last until our younger child is ready to use it. We also bought the baby bjorn toilet seat (since this does not have an accompanying seat), and it works great. The only downside is it is large, so if you have a small bathroom, this may not be for you.

This is the only one that has a strong, large step and big arms for my daughter to hold on to when she climbs up and down the stool. It's wonderful and safe for potty training and also for teaching her to wash hands on her own! It's definitely far more expensive than any other stools out there, but worth every penny.

It is made of durable plastic that will not fold under heavy weight, unlike some of the others. The best part is that you do not have to clean and sanitize. You just simply flush and everything is gone because it fit around the grown- up potty. I wish I would have had this with my other children. Thanks so much for making potty training easy.
