Submitted By: Megan from Austin, TX   Date: 09/13/2008 I bought this mobile, really excited for my daughters. They were definitely interested in it and all the moving parts. It's a way better design than most mobiles. Unfortunately after 2 months of maybe using it once a day for 10 mins or so, at bedtime, the motor stopped working to turn the mobile. It still plays music though. It would be nice if there were more than 3 whiney classical songs too. I found the girls seemed irritated by the music, just too much of the same thing I think. I wish it had a "no music" option and that it was better quality and actually lasted until they were 5 months old before breaking. So much for my 10 mins shower-time....

The newest member of our family has been mesmerized by it for almost 6 months now - absolutely loves the music and the movement. There's nothing else like it.

I had the stim mobile before that was supposed to be great for visual development but my gal didn't seem to get much out of it cause it didn't move or have sound. This one has little things that slide while it goes around and she loves watching them. I put her in the crib when she's feeling playful and she goes to town giggling and kicking watching the mobile. it goes for about 15 minutes and then stops, she gets frustrated when it stops. So I usually do about a half hour total, which is great for giving me time to sit by the crib and pump or get paperwork done. I will say the speaker was too loud when we put it on our crib (the Ellis 4 in 1) so I taped a round cotton make up pad over the speaker with a few layers of masking tape and that brought the volume down.
