Many children's apparel companies are founded based on a need or a great idea and California-based Trumpette is not an exception. New father Jon Stevenson worked in the San Francisco men's fashion business and developed a bodysuit for his young son Nicky. When Nicky would visit the park, everyone would say, "What a cute little girl." Tired of this mistake, Jon made a silkscreened bodysuit that read the word "boy." Curious to see if other parents liked his unique bodysuit, Jon placed a small section of them in his men's clothing line. The positive response was overwhelming!
