Bunchem toys are small balls with hooks that are meant to stick together. They're also a potential hazard, as multiple parents are discovering. Jasmine Nikunen, an Arkansas mom, had to spend twelve hours taking the toys out of her daughter's hair.
Five-year-old Scarlett was playing with her cousin when he dumped the Bunchem toys on her head. They stuck in her hair, clumping up "like dreadlocks," Nikunen explained. "I thought we were never going to get them out" (Parents).
The process required half a day and help from two other people. Nikunen used vegetable and coconut oil, as per the manufacturer's instructions, on Scarlett's hair. She said her daughter lost some of the hair, although they didn't actually have to cut it.
Nikunen warned other parents to keep Bunchem toys away from their children's hair. Click here to learn more.
