Woman Loses Weight So She Can Be A Mom

Eden SanBoeuf, 29, was featured in Yahoo’s series, Weight-Loss Wins, for shedding 167 pounds in hopes of becoming a mother. Having a baby was her “why” in this journey that began with a New Year’s resolution on Jan. 1, 2015.
Once she found her “why,” she was ready to make a change. Weighing more than 300 pounds was causing her health issues and preventing her from getting pregnant. With a simple download of the MyFitnessPal app, she started to track her food intake and established an exercise routine.
She lost more than 100 pounds and was pregnant within the first year. Sadly, she lost her first son, Wyatt, on Jan. 26, 2016 due to a neural tube defect called anencephaly. Determined to continue her healthy lifestyle and work through the grief of losing her son, she stayed positive. By Feb. 3, 2017 her second son, Joey, was born.
Today, she is a healthy mom at 138 pounds. In her inspiring story on Yahoo she shared, “What inspires me today is how far I’ve come. I know this is my lifestyle now, and I want to keep going. I stay motivated because I love this life. My family needs me to take care of myself so that I can be there for them.”

She hopes to inspire others through her story, and says the best advice she can give is to "be ready and find your why."
