Recent research indicates that the majority of parents, millennials, and Generation Z youth prefer to stay home on New Year's Eve. Netflix noticed that seventy-seven percent of parents of three- to thirteen-year-old also want to stay home with their kids, according to one poll. So they've provided a way for parents to entertain their children during the festivities.

On New Year's Eve, Netflix will have a countdown with fourteen of its shows for kids and tweens. This includes "Fuller House," "Skylanders Academy," and "Spirit: Riding Free." The multiple shows allow parents to keep their kids entertained while they also celebrate the new year.

If you're looking to provide this option to your children, search "countdown" on Netflix. Click here for the full list of shows.
