Amazon Future Engineer is a new program designed to teach kindergarten through eighth-grade students how to code. Through this initiative, Amazon hopes to train potential future members of their company. But it's also working to involve more minority students in the computer science field.

Since computer engineers are needed in today's job market, Amazon's new program will "strengthen the industry" by teaching coding, according to Learning English. Amazon's head of Worldwide Consumer, Jeff Wilke, explains that learning how to code is extremely important - almost as important as reading.

Aside from programs for elementary and middle school students, Amazon will also begin organizing computer science training for low-income high schools.
